ATI Radeon 9000 series Video Driver

ATI Radeon 9000 series Driver. This is the original Windows NT 4.0 driver for ATI Radeon 9000 series graphic cards. I took it months ago directly from ATI's site (www.ati.com/support/driver.html), but now the WinNT driver seems not to be available anymore from ATI. For Windows NT, only the Radeon's until 8500 series are available (check it at mirror.ati.com/support/drivers/nt/nt4radeon434013.html). I looked for the driver on the Net, but apparently only 2-3 sites hosted it (IE, www.digate.ru/drv/ati-radeon/winnt4/nt4-r9000-4-3-4037.exe).

It seems to have become a very hard-to-find driver! So I decided to post it on this great driver site. -)

To install it, you have two choices

A) Once downloaded the nt4-r9000-4-3-4037.exe file from this site, run it and follow the Wizard.

Or

B) Install it manually (Windows NT-style). To do it, follow these steps

1) Unzip the auto-extracting file in a place of your choice (IE, on a folder on your desktop). Use WinZIP or WinRAR to unzip it.

2)Go to Control Panel - Display - Settings - Display type - Change - Have disk. (Excuse me if the translations aren't perfect, I did it on an Italian Windows NT 4.0 -).

3) Browse to the /Driver/NT4_INF subfolder of your unzipped driver folder and select the CN_06496.inf file.

4) Now choose your graphic card model (IE, Radeon 9000 Pro).

5) After it is installed, restart the machine.

6) Done.
